Rick & Morty

Date Added: 10th January 2018
Pet Type: Dog
Looking for a new home.

They came from Antrim pound via the team at Assisi and are both approximately 2 years old.

Both dogs were extremely shy on arrival however they have both gained a lot of confidence. They are improving with strangers with Morty being the more sociable of the two.

When walking them near the road they become anxious, as a vehicle approaches they will both lie down close to the ditch. With time and patience this will pass. Both however are very different dogs when walking in open areas they become much more relaxed and calm. Rick pulls a little on the lead when leaving for his walk as he becomes excited; Morty walks great on the lead.

Ricks house training is coming on great with only a little extra training needed. Morty is not housetrained. As they came in together and get on so well with each other we foresee no problems rehoming either dog to a home with dogs.

They need understanding new owner/s willing to be patient and give either dog the time to settle and gain trust. They would be best suited to a home with children aged 16+ years old.

If interested in offering either Rick or Morty their new beginnings please visit the centre during opening hours 12-4pm Tues - Sun

Adoption Procedure - Dogs

If you are looking to adopt a dog from the Rainbow Rehoming Centre please visit the centre where you can see all of the dogs that are in our care.  Our staff can help determine which is the right dog for you and your family.

Next you will be required to fill out a booking form which is a series of questions to find out if you will be able to look after the dog for its lifetime.  Before any dog leaves the centre a home check is carried out to ensure you have a secure and loving environment for the dog.

Finally, our adoption fee is £100 This adoption fee covers the following:-

  • Worm and de-flea
  • Two vaccinations
  • Neutering
  • Micro chipping

Please Note:

When the Rainbow Rehoming Centre takes in an animal, whether it is a cat, dog, kitten or puppy it is with the intention of finding this animal its forever home. Our commitment to this animal is not temporary though, as even after adoption a Rainbow animal remains a 'Rainbow animal' for life. So if at any time after adoption, whether it is one week, one year or ten years and you find that you cannot take care of your Rainbow pet you must contact us at the centre and your pet will be returned into our care. Under no circumstances should a Rainbow animal be passed on.

If you have any questions regarding the welfare of your pet please contact the Rainbow Centre and we will be glad to help.
