Due to the significant increase in animal cruelty and neglect cases in the North West and surrounding areas and with a lack of USPCA presence in the North West, members of the public have been increasingly turning to the Rainbow Centre with concerns for animals. In a response to this we have launched a Cruelty Awareness Helpline.

WHY CIRCUSES ARE NO PLACE FOR ANIMALS
This year the Australian Super Circus used 2 African elephants in their shows in Drumahoe. After the last show on Sunday 6th july, rainbow centre volunteers and members of ARAN witnessed the elephants being led from the tent after performing and straight into a container lorry where they would have had very little room to move and very little natural light.
